Load-It® MagHead Fixed-Reach Range — MG002 to MG012

Six fixed-reach lengths from 2 ft to 12 ft. Three articulation configurations. One magnetic strength class across the fixed-reach range. One engineering principle: create a magnetic control point at the correct working distance for the task.

Defined Standoff Distance

Fixed reach for consistent, well-understood tasks.

The fixed-reach Load-It® MagHead range provides defined standoff distances for operations with consistent, well-understood standoff requirements.

The fixed shaft provides structural rigidity, predictable handling, and lower weight for a given length compared with telescopic alternatives.

MG002–MG012 Model Selection

Six working distances. Select by task, not by maximum reach.

The correct length is the one that provides appropriate standoff while preserving operator control, visibility and manageable tool leverage for the actual application.

MG002
2 ft
Close standoff

High-repetition positioning; component installation; maximum precision.

MG004
4 ft
Close–Mid standoff

Structural alignment; fabrication yards; general-purpose guidance.

MG006
6 ft
Mid–Extended standoff

Crane-assisted positioning; larger assemblies.

MG008
8 ft
Extended standoff

Large modules; offshore lifts; high-swing loads.

MG010
10 ft
Long standoff

Extended reach; elevated risk assessment requirements.

MG012
12 ft
Maximum fixed standoff

Maximum standoff in the fixed-reach range.

Configuration Options

Each fixed-reach model is available with three head configurations.

90°
Flex Head

Consistent approach geometry; suited to high-repetition and structural work.

180°
Swivel Head

Continuous Magnetic Engagement™ for tasks involving operator movement during positioning.

360°
Rotation

For complex geometries and confined-access conditions.

All fixed-reach models use the 75 mm magnetic head rated at 550 lb under laboratory conditions on clean, flat steel. Actual engagement varies with surface condition.

Matched to the stable leverage of the fixed shaft.

Matched to the stable leverage of a fixed shaft at lengths from 2 to 12 ft. Provides positive directional control throughout guidance tasks while remaining manageable for intentional disengagement once the load is fully landed and supported.

Published holding force is based on laboratory conditions on clean, flat steel; actual engagement varies with surface condition.

Site Standardisation

Standardise around the task profile.

Operations with consistent task profiles commonly standardise on one or two fixed lengths — typically MG004 (4 ft) for routine tasks, supplemented by MG008 (8 ft) or MG010 (10 ft) for larger or higher-risk lifts.

Application Mapping Review

The Application Mapping Review can identify the correct standard configuration for a specific operation by examining the load, working distance, access conditions and operator movement.

Premium Engineering Consultation

Not sure which length and head configuration fit the task?

PSC's Application Mapping Review examines the actual task — the load, the surface, the access conditions, and the operator's movement — and recommends the correct matched configuration.
